YOU WILL NEED:

  • Medium weight yarn in black, white and the colour of your choosing for the iris.

  • Hook - you can use 4mm, 5mm or 5.5mm (JUST ONE HOOK FOR EACH EYE) I have been making the eyes with both 4mm and 5mm hooks, as each hook yields a slightly different size for each eye. Abbreviations:

  • sc - single crochet

  • hdc - half double crochet

  • dc - double crochet

  • tr - treble crochet Note: My patterns are written in US terms. I have included two patterns in this blog entry, for two different sizes. If you are unsure on how to do a treble crochet, I've provided a link here: https://www.thesprucecrafts.com/how-to-treble-or-triple-stitch-4083325

The eyes made with the 4mm hook needed blocking afterwards, as they were curling a bit. I blocked mine by pinning them to the wall of my house.

Let's get crocheting!
