Peacock Feather Crochet Pattern

You will need:

  • 4mm (G) crochet hook OR 5mm

  • Worsted weight yarn in five colours of your choice

  • Scissors

Abbreviations:

  • sc - single crochet

  • dc - double crochet

  • tr - treble crochet


Let's get crocheting!


Starting with Colour A, chain 4


Row 1: In fourth chain from hook, make 12dc. Slip stitch to the first dc to join (12dc)


CHANGE TO COLOUR B


Row 2: Chain 3, 2dc in every stitch around. Slip stitch to the first dc to join (24dc)


CHANGE TO COLOUR C


Row 3: Chain 3, 2dc in the same stitch, 1 dc in the next stitch. *2dc in the next stitch, 1dc in the stitch after that* Repeat** until you reach the end, slip stitch to the first dc to join (36dc)


CHANGE TO COLOUR D


Row 4: Chain 1, sc in the same stitch, 1sc, 1hdc, 2hdc 1dc, 2dc, 1tr, (tr, chain 1, tr) 1tr, 2dc, 1dc, 2hdc, 1hdc, 2sc, 1sc. Continue to repeat *2sc, 1sc until you've reached the end of the round.


CHANGE TO COLOUR E


Row 5: Chain 1, 1sc in the same stitch, 1sc in the next ten stitches (at this point you will be at the 2 treble stitches). 1sc in the space between both trebles, chain 3, then make another sc in between the trebles. 1sc in the treble crochet. From here, 1 sc in every remaining stitch until you reach the end. Slip stitch to join, fasten off, weave in ends.
